Photography

My photography practice has manifested itself in solo one-off work, series exploration, and queer archival(s). All of my works centre queer individuals, I view this as a strengthening to weaving together a much needed, often forgotten, queer archival. When I say solo one-off work I think of curated shoots with an individual, often models being; burlesque artists, drag artists, or multidisciplinary artists. With series exploration, I’ve taken the liberty to seek out my intersections; ‘Self In Response to Influence of Violence & Community’ encompassing my broaden 2SLGBTQIA community, ‘Light Our Bodies’ encompassing emerging 2 Spirit kin challenged by white-proximity, and ‘Fruit Basket’ encompassing mixed-race Asian queer folks and their sexual prowess. Each illuminates with set and colour to heighten the symbology they bring. Queer Archival lies in attending queer led events, nightlife or unique community gatherings and archiving those moments; Loot Box, Fuck Shit Up! Cabaret, SKETCH Working Arts Community events, and independent Drag shows.
